Are you excited about baking delicious, healthy food? Then come on in, you’re in the right place.

Superfood Bakery began in 2017 in the most organic way. You see, our founders Ksenia and Tania have always been passionate about eating healthy, natural food which – and here’s the crucial part – tastes genuinely yummy. You know, that lip-smackingly, never-want-it-to-end, type of delicious.

But although creating healthy sweet treats at home had always been second nature to them, one day while short on time they were forced to turn to pre-made baking mixes for help. Let’s just say the offering they saw on the supermarket shelves was wholly disappointing. With little to choose from, the only options were sickly, sugary mixes packed full of chemicals that neither women wanted to put into their bodies.

They knew it was time to make a change and create a product which could not only make baking more accessible, but show that you can eat all-natural, organic ingredients and still satisfy your sweet tooth.

So, with 10 years of soulful friendship, some entrepreneurial experience already under their belt and a desire to change the way we make and eat desserts, this dream team set to work.

From the beginning, it was important to Ksenia and Tania that everyone be able to try their products whether you’re a novice in the kitchen or have a vegan, dairy free or gluten free diet. For months, they poured their hearts into creating cake, cookie and brownie mixtures from scratch, literally sleeping with bags of ingredients in the bedrooms of their shared London flats.

From sticking on product labels by hand to posting their first orders from their local post office (much to the ever-growing queue’s grumbles!) they built Superfood Bakery from the ground up.

Since then, they’ve invited another two incredible women to be part of their all-female team, are now stocked in a selection of major supermarkets and online retailers and have even found someone to go to the post office for them.

Superfood Bakery is for everyone. The mixes are designed to be super easy and quick to use, with most recipes requiring a small amount of ingredients, no electrical equipment (a good ol’ fashioned wooden spoon will do) and can go from box to baked in under half an hour. All of our mixes are vegan-friendly, gluten free and dairy free, as well as being made with all-natural and organic ingredients so you could bake them with your friends, family or kids and know that what you’re consuming is good for you.

We believe life is about balance, so we also encourage all of our fellow bakers to make the mixes their own. If you fancy something extra sweet today, go ahead and add some chocolate chips or cover it in cream – go wild and get your sugar fix!
